Beautiful Jamaica

We recently returned from Sandals Whitehouse located on the South Coast of Jamaica and once again, had a great trip.  The road from Montego Airport to Whitehouse has not improved since our last trip about a year ago and still takes about an hour and a half on a very winding pothole riddled road.  Having said that, it is very scenic and you get a feel for how Jamaica was in the past.  We enjoyed the ride, although anyone with car sickness issues may have a problem.  The resort itself has undergone improvements.  The rooms have been redecorated with new color schemes.   Beautiful new beach cabanas have been added throughout the property and each one has a floor, table, lounge chairs (with fresh covers daily), ceiling fans.  Best of all, it includes your own butler for the day, serving breakfast, lunch and drinks at your beck and call.  They are reserved and cost about $125 for the day.  Well worth the cost as they were booked full our entire stay.  If you’ve been to Sandals Whitehouse in the past, they have now added a walkway on the beach from the French Village to the end of the property making the walk considerably shorter than before when you used the walkway through the grounds to get to the “core” of the Village where the shops, restaurants and entertainment is located.  New fire pits and comfy sofas have been added and add a super romantic feel to this property.  We liked this place before these additions, but truly find it now to be one of the best Sandals properties.  Fortunately, the food and service has remained as awesome as in the past as has the friendliness of the Jamaicans.
